Alex Smith is the CTO and VP of Engineering of Paravirtual Corporation with 20+ years of experience in software design in embedded systems, networking and virtualization technology. At Paravirtual, Alex has been the co-architect in development of Type 2 hypervisors and hardware virtualization.
Prior to Paravirtual Alex was lead architect for Wind River networking division, where he did the design and integration of L2/L3 networking protocols for VxWorks operating systems. Before Wind River, Alex worked at RouterWare, a leader in portable networking stack vendor. Alex holds a BSCS from California State University, Fullerton.
